If you’re dealing with heavy thermal loads and don’t have a ton of room to work with, these lamps are your best bet. We’ve packed 2000W of power into a 355mm frame. It’s a lot of heat in a small space. The result? You get that fast ramp-up time you need without having to rebuild your entire oven. Let’s talk power. We went with a 440V rating specifically for industrial setups. Why? Because it lets us hit that 2000W mark without pulling so much current that you’re constantly tripping breakers or worrying about your wiring melting. Just a heads-up: don’t try to run these on a standard 220V circuit. You just won’t get the heat you’re looking for. Also, since they’re 355mm, they slide right into most PET blowing and plastic curing lines. It’s a simple swap when your old tubes finally give up the ghost. What’s actually happening inside? Inside the high-purity quartz glass, there’s a tungsten filament swimming in a halogen gas mix. That gas is the secret sauce—it keeps the filament from evaporating too fast, so the lamp lasts longer even when it’s screaming hot. The quartz is there to make sure the short-wave IR gets out as efficiently as possible. Most of these use R7s or similar tension clips. They’re great because you can swap them out on the shop floor in seconds. But here is a pro tip:**do not touch the glass with your bare hands.**The oils from your skin create these tiny hot spots. Once the lamp hits operating temperature, those spots can cause the glass to crack. Use a clean cloth or gloves. Where they shine (and where to be careful) These are absolute workhorses for powder coating and PET bottle blowing. They punch right through the material surface. But remember, 2000W in a tube this size creates an incredible amount of heat. You’ve got to make sure your cooling fans are up to the task. If the air isn’t moving around the housing, you’re risking a burnout in your sockets. Keep them cool, and they’ll keep working.
