We built this Halogen lamp to pack a serious punch into a small space. It runs at 2000W on a 220V supply, so it heats up fast and holds steady even when the workload piles on. And that 626mm length? Not an accident. It gives you enough radiant surface to cover the heating zones in machines like shrink tunnels and plastic processing gear—without asking for extra clearance.
Materials and the Way It’s Made
The envelope is quartz, and it runs on a halogen cycle. That means the filament stays cleaner while it’s working, which helps keep the output steady over time and pushes the lifespan beyond what you’d get from a standard incandescent element. The energy comes out as shortwave infrared, aimed right where you need it—onto the target. The response is quick, with hardly any waiting around. And installation? Simple. It’s specced with an R7s base, so it drops right into the fixtures you already have. Line up the pins, seat the lamp, and lock it in. Done.
Where It Shines—and What to Keep in Mind
Out in the real world, this setup is made for production-line heating where space is tight and the heat has to be intense. The 2000W at 220V delivers the oomph you need for jobs like heating PET preforms, thermoforming, and sealing packaging. Here’s the trade-off, though: that kind of power density means the surrounding parts—and the reflectors—have to be built for the heat. So make sure your machine’s thermal setup is up to the job: enough airflow, the right clearance, and a socket that can handle the temperature.
