We built these halogen heat bulbs with one job in mind: keeping up with silk printing machines. These aren’t just off-the-shelf heaters. They’re purpose-built to deliver intense, focused heat—exactly where you need it—so your ink dries fast and your substrate cures clean, all without taking up a ton of space. The Power Behind the Heat
Let’s get into the nuts and bolts. These bulbs are industrial workhorses, typically running at 2500W or 3000W, on 230V or 400V systems. The 300mm length is a standard size, which means it’s a simple, drop-in swap for most silk printing machines. We pack a lot of wattage into that length, which lets us hit the exact temperature you need, right on target. But here’s the thing about that kind of power: it throws off serious ambient heat. Your machine’s cooling and ventilation have to be up to the task. If the surrounding electronics aren’t rated to handle the heat, you’re risking early failures. So before you wire one in, just make sure your cabinet’s thermal budget is ready for it.
What Makes It So Tough
The envelope is made from quartz, not regular glass. Why? Because quartz can handle the shock of rapid on/off cycles without cracking. Inside, the halogen cycle keeps the filament stable, so the bulb doesn’t blacken and the output stays consistent over time. The heat it produces is shortwave infrared, which goes straight for the ink, penetrating the layer without overheating the material underneath. For the connection, we use an R7s or SK15 fitting. These double-ended pins are built for high current and can take the constant vibration and heat of a running machine. They just slip right into the standard ceramic sockets, making the install as simple as swapping out a bulb.
How It Works for You on the Floor
On the silk printing line, the bulb sits in the drying section, right after the screen. It cures the ink almost instantly, so the substrate can move on to the next station without smudging. The halogen element responds immediately, which keeps up with high-speed lines and cuts down on the time the material has to sit in the dryer. And it does all this in a super compact footprint. You get a massive amount of heat from a small space, which keeps your machine layout clean and simple. When a bulb does burn out, the R7s connection means you can swap it in minutes, not hours.
