The Power Behind the Heat
Here’s the thing about the 400W rating: it packs a lot of heat into a small package. That means you get a fast warm-up and heat the second you need it. No waiting around. And it plays nice with your setup. It runs on standard industrial voltages, so you don’t have to rewire your whole line just to make it fit. The overall length is kept short, around 300mm, so it slips right into crowded machine frames and focused heating zones without a fight.
What It’s Made Of
The heart of it is a tungsten filament. It’s there for one reason: it can handle extreme heat and keeps its resistance steady, so the performance stays consistent. The halogen cycle is the quiet hero. It keeps the inside of the lamp clean, which means the output stays strong over the lamp’s life and you get way less blackening. We use a quartz tube because it can take the thermal shock and lets the infrared pass through cleanly. And the R7s connector makes it a simple, two-contact drop-in replacement. You just pop it in, and you’re good to go.
Where It Shines
Use this lamp when you need fast, localized heat. It’s perfect for plastic forming, sealing, drying coatings, and component testing. It gives you predictable heat, quickly, and the compact size makes mounting a breeze. But, and this is important, it’s intense. The 400W output means you need proper thermal management.
