What It’s Made Of
The heart of it is a tungsten filament. It’s there for one reason: it can handle extreme heat and keeps its resistance steady, so the performance stays consistent. The halogen cycle is the quiet hero. It keeps the inside of the lamp clean, which means the output stays strong over the lamp’s life and you get way less blackening. We use a quartz tube because it can take the thermal shock and lets the infrared pass through cleanly. And the R7s connector makes it a simple, two-contact drop-in replacement. You just pop it in, and you’re good to go.
