The design that stays tough
Halogen technology keeps the quartz envelope clean by running the filament hotter, which puts evaporated tungsten back where it belongs—on the filament. The payoff is consistent output over the lamp’s life, with less blackening. The quartz tube can take high temps and sudden thermal shocks without cracking. And we pair the lamp with an R7s connector for a secure, low-resistance connection that installs quickly and stays tight, even when things vibrate.
Where it shines—and what to watch for
Bring this into spots where you need fast, controllable heat in a small space: adhesive curing, plastic softening, paint drying, moisture removal. The shortwave output penetrates fast, and the focused beam means less wasted energy. One thing to keep in mind: that hot filament needs proper reflector optics and airflow. If cooling isn’t sized right, nearby components will run hotter. Plan your thermal management accordingly, and it all works the way it should.
